Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. It is believed that she was the one responsible with establishing the current study of eyewitnesses' memory, and also children's witnesses. Prof. Goodman has published numerous papers, received many grants and been recognized with several international and national prizes. She consults with numerous countries and agencies around the world on policies and the research of children's victimization within the court system. She is also a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) and is a part of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is a member of Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding member, International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division and three Divisions of the Child and Family Practice and Policy Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
